Speaking of SL road trips - Tail of the Dragon

We will be taking a road trip in the 1991 300SL next week in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina.

A highlight of the trip will be motoring on US 129 "The Tail of the Dragon"

Has anyone driven that 11 maile stretch of mountain road with 318 curves?
