Stupid question re pulling code

I have a stupid question.
I finally got the scanner and don't see whereto plug it in...
Anyone know where is the place to plug in a scanner on a 98 sl 500?

it is under the drivers feet area, there is likely a little door covering the plug

hard to say without diagnosis, if the light is off, then it is likely ok for now

next step?

TX again for the help,

Freeze frames mode on teh scaanner shows for bank 2 trim % -3.9 short term and .8 long term..
Wasnt able to run a test on this sensar..
The ecu cleared the cel itself..
What is my next step, check connectors as this related to a heater circuit in the sensar? clear the code or leave it?
