Blower doesn't work - Compressor?
Does the compressor have anything to do with the function of the blower? First my A/C stopped blowing cold even after a refill. A few days later, the heat and defrost blower stopped functioning. Any ideas?

The blower works independently of the compressor.

Not true ...
The AC compressor and the blower are energized by the climate control system. Neither the compressor nor the blower will come on without the flaps being moved into the appropriate position, which is basically done by vacuum.
On DEF, however, you should get both the blower and the compressor. If you do, it's an indication that you have a major vacuum leak in the ACC system.

Blown Fuse
FYI : The problem was a blown fuse in the ACC system. This was caused by a short at the auxiliary water pump that provides alternate heating while the car is at idle. A connection had corrosion on it and caused the ACC system fuse (and subsequent 3 fuses) to blow. 2 hours labor to diagnose and fix.
Interesting!
