91 sl Locking system..again!

Well.....mine works well. Just too well. When it engages the locks work but the motor goes on forever before it shuts off. Is there an adjustment somewhere to shorten the cycle time? I'm guessing it runs for 20 seconds.

Also, while the system works remotely, it doesn't work with the key in the drivers door. Passenger and trunk work fine with the key.

You may have a vacuum leak. The 91 had door pockets that lock, center console, and the storage above the center vents. These all lock when you engage your remote locking system. Go to the distributor in the rear above the battery, hook a manual vac pump up to each locking mechanism and test it. If you have a leak the pump will run awhile. Good luck!

Locking won't work from the driver's door probably because the controller isn't getting a signal from the switch in the lock actuator inside the door. Might need a new actuator for about $60.
