Correct Color Code-lt. Tan Interior-96 SL500

My seats are faded and I am not sure if the local Mercedes parts department gave me the correct color code for the interior of my car. I gave him my VIN number and he says it is "Mushroom" number 265.

If I go to www.gahh.com, all they list for a 96 SL500 is a 455 Cream, 459 Cream Beige or a 461 parchment.

Is anyone aware of a mercedes web site where I can type in my Vin and get the correct interior color and code.

Thanks

Make the dealer print out the VMI and look at it with your own eyes. Are you planning to redye or reupholster or what?

The seats are really not in bad shape. My 96 has only 38K miles and the drivers side seat shows some fading on the bolsters so I was thinking about a re-dye.

Suggestions?

Try oursl.com

oursl.com has many color charts with codes. I was able to find them for my 380SL. Try there.

Good luck!

I found my color code on Amcon International....try searching for this name and see if their web site comes up. I forget the number but on my 95 SL500 my interior is "mushroom"
