From a 80 280SL to a 99 SL600 to a 2005 CLK500 cab

Well it's a done deal, (see these threads: 1980 240 Sl? & from a 80 280SL to a 99 SL600) my wife is now driving a 2005 CLK500 Cabriolet....and loves it. Thanks for all the input guys, bottom line, she likes plush, doesn't care toooo much about the HP(that was for me) but absolutely loves everything about this car. I purchased it used from a private dealer who sold the car originally to a client one year ago, and he paid over 70K. (I paid 49,995/10K miles). His client turned it in and bought the new BMW 650ci. The CLK has just abut everything on it you could imagine...Keyless Go, Bi-zenon headlights, DVD Nav., AMG package, wood/leather steering, paint protection for 3 years, windscreen, dealer installed 6 disc cd player and window tint, heated seats.....Very Cool! Oh yeah, the kids love it too. They go out and just sit in it. (of course I do too)
Cheers,
Matt

I saw a new CLK cabriolet the other day, and I must say that it is a beautiful car. Congrats on the new car, and I hope that it brings you many miles of driving nirvana.

Thanks Guys. The color is brilliant silver w/ash interior/black top. I'll try to get pics up later today. I even cleaned one of the garages to put it in.

That CLK has got to look hot. The silver that MB has really sets off the lines of the car. Please post some pics when you have the time.

Thanks! The sun does bring up a good point in terms of protecting the interior. I checked out the detailing discussion to see what folks are using for a sunscreen. It appears there are a few products out there that would serve that purpose. Armour All seemed to be pretty high on everyone's list What are you guys using up there?
