1980 W107 Drivers window height adjustment

Hi,

My drivers window goes up too high with the hardtop on. Is there a stop adjustment in the door for this?
Should I wait and see how high it goes with the soft top on before I take the panel off? Will it be the same? I hear that both tops fit a little different.

I've always heard that you adjust the window to the softtop. Then you adjust the hardtop to the window.

The hardtop is adjusted by popping the chrome caps by the side windows and turning the bolt.
