They are pretty much $400 everywhere. If Phil at Fats Lane cant get you one, try performance products.

The German Connection

I just bought one from Germany through ebay.uk. They are $300 including $70 shipping. They appear to be a bit smaller that the ones I saw advertised in the US. They fold inside the well and attach to the safety belt attachment points. The word you need to look for is "windschott". They sell them for all kinds of cars.

Hi, This may help, I was chasing one and located a perfect screen located on the West Coast of the US. I can't remember the name of the company as shipping costs were prohibitive to Australia, so I let it go.

I found an e-mail however that may help. If you contact them, you will be able to ascertain where exactly they are, I knew they had a few real good screens for 107's. For what it's worth: E:mail AnakelaHI@aol.com, address your inquiry to Anakela, she was extremely helpful and from the limited dealings I had would not have hesitated buying. The screens were very reasonable as to cost. No problems telling her you got her name/ e-mail address from the nutcase 107 owner in Brisbane, Queensland who was looking for a screen. Hope that helps.

I bought mine direct from the manufacturer, KSM, in Germany. Cost about US$ 280.- after all was said and done.

and click on Windschott and then look for W107 on second page. They will take off the 16% tax and shipping to US/Canada was € 45.00

I just bought one (kinda) from ************************ ... turns out it's on back-order and expected delivery isn't until 6/29/06.
:(
Will probably end up cancelling it.

I tried ordering from KSM, but I couldn't figure out which word/link led to "check out"... <grin>

I just sent KSM an email with my request in german but they would most likely have no trouble replying to an english email. Their product fit well and the frame is leather covered. Instead of the supplied velcro for the screen which covers the back well, I installed chrome snaps.

English will work

I dealt with them in english without any problem.

I'll have to go out and check it out agian, but, I have a small hole in my windscreen mesh. I wonder if you could repalce the mesh like they do window screens. Sure would be chaeper than buying a new windscreen.

I found a used one on ebay for my E Cabriolet. Just $50. plus $50 shipping.
No one else bid on it. Keep looking daily and you might get lucky too.

On another site, a 107 owner actually located the original manufacturer in Germany and they will repair old ones, it isn't cheap and of course the shipping is very expensive (I can dig out the email if needed). Supposedly, special tools and jigs are involved. I'd like to get my hands on a bad one and see what can be done. If it was assembled by Man, I can disassemble it and most of the time put it back together. I'd sure put in some serious effort for 350-500$.

Someone from ************************ must have read that I was thinking of cancelling the windscreen part of the order here ... while all the other back-ordered parts said they should ship by 5/29, the windscreen said 6/29. Well, now everything, including the windscreen, has shipped! :D
