Finally Washed the 500SL...and a Question

After a miserably long rainy season, I finally had a chance to wash the SL yesterday. She still looks great for a sixteen year old, don't you think?

There was one problem that I noticed though, the rubber piece on the fender that surrounds the antenna has cracked, probably from age and exposure to the elements. Is this part available for purchase separately, and is it easy to replace?

Thanks,

Warren

Nice car!!!

The little rubber boot is availible by itself. The last one I bought was like 6 years ago, and it was $17.00 back then.

I don't see a smiley on your message, so I'll assume that you're serious. So, how about posting a picture of your pride and joy so that I can pick something from your car, and use it to insult your taste?

This is the first message that I post here in a long time, and I get this.

thanks for nothing.

geez.

I don't think the wheels are bad, not my choice, but absolutely nothing wrong with them.

Unfortunately, I agree. Beautiful car, the wheels though do not coincide with the joi de vive that the car sings.

Amazing how fresh the R129 still looks after all these years. Many people think the R107 is timeless, but I beg to differ.

Love the colour.

My first mod ever is going on the car this weekend. She will be riding on 19" Brabus Monoblock VI staggered. I can't wait.

I think your SL looks pretty sweet, Warren. Who cares what the Don thinks? It would be pretty boring in the world if we all liked the same thing.

Don't let his criticism get to you. I fYOU like it, that's all that matters.
