I've owned two of them. Someone once said that a 300SL was a real mans car and a 190SL was the car you bought your mistress when you planned to break up with her! If I could find the right one I would buy it.

190 Sl

There was one for sale a few months ago a couple of blocks from the house and the guy was asking $20,000.00 for it. Bright red with black soft top, look good from the road, after taking a closer look found that the window regulators were trash, the car wouldn't start and it was wrecked in the front driver side and the repair was horrible with pieces of sheet metal sticking out inside the wheel well, the top was ripped and the wood bow was on it's way to saw dust, the engine compartment look like someone re-wired it with spare parts from a Maytag washing machine. But it sure look good from afar.
