whats the correct idle rpm for a 83 380 sl at normal temp while on park and on drive at stop?

750RPM, +/- 50rpm.

thanks, im pretty sure that the rpm goes up once you put it on park, maybe not.

Any variation should be minimal... If changes are large (a couple of hundred rpm), look for vacuum leaks first, then trouble-shoot other causes associated with idle speed...
