Bluetooth Phone Kit
I need a recommendation for an installed bluetooth phone kit - vehicle is a 2000 S500 (SL). Co-worker looking for advice.
My search came up with a recommendation of a parrot kit. Anyone have other experiences, recommendations? Thanks.

I just purchased a Targus Bluetooth 2.0 adapter for my Motorola L6 and it works as advertised. It is just a little thing that clamps on to anywhere and you talk to it. Paid $109 to my door.

MB is offering a new Bluetooth adaptor for UHI-equipped cars. Quite pricey but keeps things stock and no doubt works well.

Parrot in The BMW, and MB solution in the SL
I have the parrot CK3100 in the BMW and it works great, it was an easy install, and if you are looking at a 95 SL, that is what I would use. I put one in my 96, and mounted the screen in the cubby where the old phone was, used the mute wire from the radio and it worked great. I recently purchased a 2001 SL500, it had a Timport in it. I replaced the PSE, the Cradle, and purchased a bluetooth puck, this way I can use my radio to dial and the voice control to utilize it's functions. With bluetooth it has been my experience that the blackberries and smart phones never worked really well. I find the Motorola brand to work the best. Good luck!

Is it an S500L, SL500, 500SL, or S500? Depending on the model, one could be adapted to the stock system. (if it has one)
