560SL Help, my A/C is intermitent and the windows fog

I have a 1986 560SL with 125,000 miles. A year ago we replaced the condenser and evaporator. Now the heater works great and the A/C works sporatically. After an hours drive the inside air becomes very humid and the windows fog up badly, even in the defrost mode. Any ideas?

I assume your blower is cutting out. For me this was caused by the push button assembly. Some people have been able to repair these succesfully. I repaired mine succesfully the first time but by the next year I had a bad relay on one of them that I was unable to repair.

The fan seems to work normally. Last summer there would only be heat even when the A/C was on full, then for no reason it would start to blow cold. When the heat was on there was heavy moisture coming out of the system.

Thanks for the reply.

With the car running and the AC full on open the hood and see if the AC compressor is engaging. The compressor must engage occasionally, even with the heat on, to pull the moisture out of the cabin.
