129 console box part # needed and some help

i have a 1990 129 and have seen on the internet a seller offering an OEM replacement box for the dated cassette holder in the canter console. add says it takes only a screwdriver and 2 min to change it,

my dealer cant find the part and i am not sure how to get the cassette holder out even if i found the part.

any help would be great
thanks

If it's the same unit I bought, you won't even need a screwdriver. The original cassette holder is just held in by plastic clips built into the sides. The new unit will also just "pop" into place.

thanks, where did you get the new box, from a mb dealer or

from and secondary seller? the reason i ask is that i bought a chrome shift bezel from the dealer that was $16 and it was $45 from the secondary seller. they also have the console box @ $89. but i bet it is around $30 @ dealer if i can get a part #

Stats reply above helped me when I posted a thread about the same thing. The cassette holder does just pop out with the aid of a couple of credit cards or something similar.
