'96 Sl320

I'm looking at a sweet SL320 with 77k miles at $17,900. Can anyone tell me of any pitfalls with this model and what do you think about the price? It looks super inside and out. It would basically be a Sunday driver. No hard top included.

Is this car being sold by a dealer? That price is getting close to full retail. I'd use the KBB Private Party value as a more realistic figure ($16K), and subtract at least $1000 for the lack of a hardtop.

So I guess I'm saying: Offer the seller $15K (mention the lack of hardtop as affecting the price), and go from there...
