Starting Problem - '79 450slc

For A Year The "c" Was Started Weekly And Run A Few Minutes;

Then It Wouldn't Start; the Fuel Pump Tested Bad, Was Replaced Along With The Filter And Damper. It Tested Out For Volume(fuel Return From The 'cis' Distributor).

Then It Still Wouldn't Start!

With spray Engine Starter It Fired Up But Would Not Run On.

After Checking Over Vacuum Lines And General "under The Hood Things" I Found You Folks And Hope For Your Wisdom Here!

Thanks For The 'Nice Car' Comment! It's Been A Real Pleasure.

According To My References And Resources, The Electronic Fuel Injection (efi) Stopped In '76, And From Then It Was A Mechanical Fuel Injection System, Aka Continuous Injectionsystem (cis).

This Is The Guidance I Have Used So Far In My Trouble Shooting And Am Waiting For More Maibntenance Manuals And Input From The Forum!!

Thanks Folks!!!

Can we get the most basic of all tests done?

Have someone crank the starter and you put your hand on the fuel pump. Does the pump vibrate?
