fuel accumulator
should a 1974 450sl with d jet injection have a fuel accumulator? mine does not have one and from the book it looks like only the cis use it, but i'm not sure

correct. The EFI system has a damper and pressure regulator in the fi ring at the back of the motor. They look like two turnips. There is a swirl can in the back between the fuel tank and the pump. That and a filter are all there are in the circuit (not counting the injectors).

Thanks cth I thought so but I know someone on this forum will have the right answer, I dont have the swirl can either is it important or can i do without it?
