Interesting SLC

http://www.dima.ac/carsforsale/Album18.htm

A 500SLC (?)

Maybe real, maybe not - doesn't look THAT bad. Interesting parts like spoiler and wood above windshield.

Make sure the AC works. Certainly looks interesting and if I were in the market and it was close by, I'd certainly be interested.

If you buy, you make want to have a full service of fluids done before your travel.

Bogus!

Look at the VIN. A 107 024 is a 450SLC. A 500 or 5.0 would be a 107 026. Nothing wrong with a 450SLC, but it's always nice to know what you're actually getting.

the five hundred slc is a very limited edition euro only car used to homologate cars for ralleying.

i think

it is similar to the euro 500sl in its mechanicals.

a very interesting car that will one day be very collectible i imagine.

fast too

I am nowhere near Oklahoma.... (but who is? )
I called the guys & they are in Vegas until Monday...

It is nice loooking and I really like SLCs
Is this one that has a double timing chain?

& I am guessing it is fuel injected....?

( Not sure if it has a sunroof. That is a big plus to me...)

I am considering Nate's Euro SLC in San Diego area but he's only had it a few months & he's getting rid of it , so ......???? And not sure how his AC works.
He posted that he had trouble with it in January....

As everyone said, these are very rare vehicles. There is a specific website just for the 500 SLCs, and those guys may be better equipped to answer engine questions. These vehicles were sort of semi-strippers, to keep the weight down for ralleying. For example, aluminum hoods.

The single/double row timing chain questions come up on the 380SLs, not these cars. I'm sure it's fuel injected.

Chuck,
No one seems to heed your notice/warning...

Oh, as for aluminum hoods, the 560's have 'em... Don't know about others.

oh, i see what you mean.

i thought you were saying there was no such animal as a 500slc.

it would be a bummer to think you were getting a 500slc and it turned out to be a 450 with a rubber spoiler!

Exactly right, 107 026 ......... = 5.0 litre

How do you spell deliberate misrepresentation!!!!

Navigate to the site above. There is a special forum for the 450 5.0 SLC and a cadre of guys who can steer you to info on the amg SLC.
