Wiper Blade Follies
My 85 380SL came with black aftermarket blades (yecch) and I wanted the originals. I got a used set to clean up and reload, and I think they were meant to be 19" on the RH and 18" on the LH. On my '86, however, I think that both are 19", and the LH blade extends about 3/4" inch over the window trim. This can't be right - but if you look in the Performance Products catalog, it shows 86+ wiper blades being identical, whereas previous years have a different LH and RH side. Does anyone know why?

wiper blades
Hi
My 88 300SL has a pair of 18" MB satin finish "alloy" wiper blades fitted which match the wiper arms and according to the service history they were fitted at a MB dealer as part of a previous service before I had the car. As I don't tend to use my baby in the rain (except when I get caught out in our unpredictable weather in the UK) they'll probably last for years. cheers Jim
