Drive by Wire problems

Got a 95 Sl500 and sometimes when I press down on the accelarator it jumps into safe mode. When I shut the car off and restart, it resets itself, any ideas of what this problem may be?

Your car is going into "Limp Mode" for a safety reason. Please consider doing a Search of "Limp" at the following site then post the question at http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r129-sl-class/ and you will get an answer.

Note: I would not title the next post "drive by wire". Try "Limp Mode Problem". You car does not have Drive By Wire. It does have an electronic throttle.
