Climate control buttons-any ideas?
On my 95 SL500 the white outline of "fan blade" for the fan button is worn off.
Are there replacement buttons available anywhere or has anyone been able to re apply white paint, etc into these little indentations? I tried once briefly with a very small tip brush but I had hard time keeping my hand from shaking to fill in these small indentations.

I wonder if you could use white liquid white-out. Fill in the letters and then quickly whipe off th excess. Just clutching at straws here.

Phil advised the separate buttons are not available on this application. You would have to buy the entire control unit at approx $400 !

Do an Ebay search for Mercedes Climate Control. There are a few sellers who always have several used units on auction. Do a "Ask seller a question", they may have buttons for sale. Worth a shot. Good luck.

The buttons show up as 1268211658 and 1268211858.
