3.0 SL 24 Valve

I have a problem with my windscreen wipers, they do not go through the speeds only the fast one. I am aware why this is, but is there a relay to check and were or is it, or is it the wiper stick that needs changing?

People with your problem have restored wiper operation by removing the control module (picture), disassembling it, and cleaning the contacts of the internal relays. Not difficult at all. I think LeaUK over on mercedesshop.com may have posted some pictures.
