Burning Up in Atlanta

Need help before I faint while driving. Experiencing hot air flowing from my passenger side vent and underneath on my 95 SL500. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!

Have to ask - did you check fuse? No power = default to heat.

Heater/AC works just fine. When everythings off, albeit, not a heavy flow, hot air flows constantly flows through my vent. Do you think that it could be a heater valve problem? Might I add the problem is intermittent....

Have you checked the mono-valve. The 140 class has three different versions they install. The 126 class will blow hot through the defrost when it goes south. There is some good reading if you do a search "mono valve" you might pick up on some specific 140 information

I would put the climate control in diagnostic mode and check for faults. I would also monitor the temperature of the heater core. The procedure for doing this on a dual-zone car is explained by Steve Brotherton in a DIY article on this site. The procedure for an SL is explained on the R129 Tech DVD and is similar. If you need help, you can send me an email.
