450SL engine swap

Hello folks - diesel head here needs help with possible project. Does anyone know if 450SL exhaust manifolds (and intake manifold for that matter) can be installed on an M117 500 engine. Cars available are a 78 450SL and an 85 500SEL. Will tranny from the SL match up to the 500 engine?

Thank you very much in advance for assistance. If answers are yes - this may only be the beginning!

sure u can bolt on manifolds from 450 engine onto 500 engine thats sure and same about the intake the only thing that is different from say 450 intake is (if the engine is not a D-jet from 75) if engine is a K-jet then the only diff is on the bottom plenum at the rear korner end ,that is different becourse of the light aloy engines block where the water pipe comming up from the block on the rear thats why . and the 450 engine got a waterpipe under the intake instead .

I have a complete 560SL engine with accesories, transmission, wire harness and computer. Fuel pump accumulator and filter package, Ignition module and coil. The setup has about 195K miles and it did consume oil but did not foul plugs. It performed as well as my other 560SL. $2000.00.

PM me if interested
