450SLC Euro Bumpers
I was scouting around my local boneyard today and came across a 1974 Euro. 450SLC. The front and rear short bumpers appear to be in real nice shape except for the front rubber bumper guards. The yard wants $300 bucks for them.
I'm seriously thinking about swapping out the ugly US bumpers on my 1980 450slc. I'm a bit skeptical about the amount of protection they offer, but they sure would look good on my car. Does anyone know if they will bolt right up? Will I need some sort I adapters? Any advice would be greatly apprciated. Thanks

I've done that on a W116. It will fine as long as you don't smack into something and look much nicer then what you have now.

The euro bumper on my 84 280e will not withstand the park by brail mentality of the typical american. I got a cracked grill from it.
They look sweet though and are very very light. Tom W
