My 86 560SL has a whistle noise coming from outside the car above 50mph. Goes away around 70 mph. What should I look for? Grillwork? Air vents near windshield?

2nd Bug: Right side mirror motor weak when up button is pressed - doesn't really do a good job raising it up, makes a clicking noise. All other directions seem OK. Is this a DIY?

This may seem silly, but that could be the radio antenna. The rear mounted antenna on my 380SL whistles at speed. You could try retracting it and seeing if that makes a difference (if you haven't done so already).

In terms of the power mirror, I've seen some that could get knocked out of whack such that the mirror glass moved a few notches and the regulating motor did not (I suspect the gears skip). I was able to sort it out by pivoting the glass back into place (moving it causes a clicking sound which is a little alarming but hopefully harmless). No warranty as to whether this would work on your 560.

The front windshield may have been removed at one time, if so the chrome may not be sitting flush on the window, check for gaps between the windshield and chrome.
