remove the key switch

You will need to remove the chrome ring around the switch and if I remember correctly there is a nut that needs to come off also. Additionally, there is a pin behind the dash in the switch that is hard to get to unless you have the instrument cluster out. You have to push on the pin to remove the switch. It might be possible to get to it from under the dash but I believe you would have to be double-jointed to do it.

Good luck!!

Can the ignition switch be repaired , or should I just get a new one from dealer?

Fix it?

Did you ever get this resolved? I have a switch with keys if you need one.
