Soft top storage: Vinyl windows

Does anybody out there do anything special to protect the vinyl windows from damage when folding and storing their soft top?

you can purchase a "snake" which is nothing more than a fabric covered with a length of foam rubber. this is inserted between the window and adjacent fold. or you can go to your wife's (girlfriends) draw and steal a panty hose.. cut off one leg, throw the rest away unless you know a one legged woman.go to Walmart and purchase a foam plastic pool thing.. long and skinny. insert this into cut panty hose , tie a knot at top and viola' a cheap replica. ( all assumes you have a long skinny legged wife)

I went to the local Babies-R-Us and bought a very soft baby blanket. I put in between the window crease before I stow the top away.

Of course, I didn't start doing this until after I'd replaced the old soft top. It was sad.

I just use a rolled up beach towel.
