'91 500 SL Headlight problem
 

The right head light is very dim
High beam and low beam the fuses are ok
the dealer says that i need a new headlight assembly i think he wants my money.
Any suggestions of what to check?

Assuming you have the standard tungsten lamps....Remove the headlamp as described in the owners manual. Clean the contacts of the plug and the lamp assembly of any corrosion. Check for a proper ground at the headlamp plug...if you have an ohm meter...should be near 0 ohms.

Had the same problem .
The connector was loose melted the plastic.
Cleaned connector I also cut some thin wire strings from speaker wire
about 1/4" to firm up the loose connector holes, pushed bulb in.
