88 380sl for a daily driver

Hi guys, my mechanic found me this 380sl for a fairly good price. We were thinking of using it as a parts car for my 280, but according to him is in pretty good condition. My only concern is the high milage in it? is it worth it to buy and make it my daily driver?

I feel addicted to this benzez!

You haven't given us much to go on... And I was not aware the 380 was made beyond 1985/6.

380SL was last produced in 1985. 86-89 would be 560SL.

Well it is not an 88 380sl. But back to the question. I use my 88 560SL as a daily driver. I have put 40K miles on it in the last 3 years. It now has 140K miles. I also used my 86 560SL with 195K miles as a daily driver right up until I pulled the engine to swap in an M120 V12.

So whats the problem?

no problem just wondering if it's too many miles. thank you for the input.

I've been using my '82 380SL as a daily driver, just made a 370 mile trip with it yesterday. It's very comfortable on the road and nice to drive. Gets close to 22 mpg on the highway. I've put close to 40K on it in the last year and a half.
