1981 380sl

I have a 1981 380SL. I have replaced the Servo and Amplifier but servo is still not working (Heat but no air conditioning). I was told there was an inline fuse or two for the climate control system in or near the fuse box however I cannot find any. Can anyone help me find it.

Did you take the under-dash panel off?

But if you are able to regulate temperature and air flow, then the servo is working.

Does the compressor come on with DEF? If so, you probably have a vacuum problem that is preventing it from getting power in the other positions. If not, you have some sort of AC problem like low freon.

I was told that the inline fuse was in or near the fuse box which is on the passenger side. I have the panel and glove box removed but can't find it. Would it be under the dash? I can not regulate the temperature and the Compressor does come on in defrost but all I get is heat. I was also told that the Servo should have a whirring sound when you first turn the key on to accessories, this is not happening. ????

It's only 2 amp, so it's small.

The "typical" wiring diagram shows a red wire to the aux fuse from fuse 2 on the panel. Coming out of the fuse, there should be a red/yellow/green wire to pin 6 on the amp.
