Mystery 107 Part
The car is a 1985 US 380SL that is undergoing rehab.
The part appears to be some sort of sensor, and its wire/cable is attached with ties to the bracing in fron of the evaporator. It has a screw and a clip painted the body color. The wire or cable runs along the right fender and through the firewall. It has "65" and a degree mark stamped on it. What does it do, and where does it attach? TIA

OK, thanks to all. Makes sense because the license plate bracket is off the car. I will put it back on and see if I can find a hole that matches the screw.
