SL600 headlight wipers
I am about to buy a 2001 SL600. My plan is to enjoy the car in the USA for a couple of years and then ship the car back to Europe to use as a Sunday afternoon ride in the summer.
In Europe it is illegal to have xenon headlights without a cleaning system (something to do with the bright beam being thrown off course by dirt on the lens) and a vehicle must have side repeaters for the turn signals. Fitting side repeaters is likely to be easy enough, but has anyone attempted to fit the wiper system to a SL or know if it's possible to retro fit? |

My Xenon lights do not have the tabs on the bottom to mount up a wiper assembly. But there is an unknown set of wire going up to both sides on mine, presumably for the wipers.
You may want to talk to some of the guys on the other side of the pond who have the HIDs to see the bottom of the light housing to see how the wiper is attached to it.

I Have Seen It Done By Using The Trim Below The Headlight With The Non-hid Option, And The Wiper System. The Car Is Already Prewired For The Wipers ( Should Be Ziptied Somewhere Below The Headlight )
