79 450SL timing chain, chain tensioner, guide rails, camshaft gear, labor $651

Ive done a few, its really a simple job the roll in a new chain and replace the top 4 guides (you might need to make up a guide pin puller but I can post a pic of mine if you are interested) worst thing is removing the power steering pump, the alternator is 3 mins.

chain cost me $79 and rails $6 each (wholesale) and the whole job takes about 2 hours.
