HELP HELP - Maybe

I'm from Chicago, drove out in the 500 to Cinci the other day.
At my buddies, so I have a garage and general tools.

Last night running out for a while went to turn on the overhead light and pushed the light cover out. Ok thats how the wife's map lights work.

Well all of a suddenly dash lights flashing, tach and oil gauges out ...
Even the door light flashing funny.

If I open the door, the lights (all) stop flashing.

OK, found # 9 fuse blown, gonna get a new one shortly.
#9 is Diagnostic Term, Hazards, front roof lights (the one's I tried to turn on wrong), legroom lights ...

Questions
Think it's just the Fuse ??

If I replace it and things work should I bother right now putting the overhead console back in ?? I took it apart thinking that is where the short is.

Any other ideas, suggestions ??? Did I do any thing more major to the electrical ??

Last any recommendations for a MB repair place (indy or MB) in the north of Cinci area (West Chester) that I can trust to be reasonably fair?

Finally we disconnected the battery, before we found the blown fuse, hoping it would reset things. It didn't. Am I gonna have issue's putting the top up, what is the reset cycle ?

Sorry for all the ?? but I'm kind of in a pickle right now. At home I have several MB techs that I trust.

OK the Fuse solved most of the problems, except the top won't go up.

I'll search for the reset process.

Thanks

Got it all !!!

Boy reseting the top codes was too easy.
I feared the pins would be a pain, tiny little conectors etc.

Big issue was after getting code 29, no signal from ABS, had to drive sround the block.
