And I don't know if it's a rare find or not.

Looks like a very nice car for the price

I;d check those miles
Is the paint orig
look for rust...

Have to check those things closely

Also what is that strange dark dye job on the center of the seats?
Thats ugly...

but that mileage & appearance of the car make it look reasonable in my novice opinion.

Does it have all its records?

Get the vin & do some checking

Yes I called them come with all the paper work. Um I checked and it's never been in any wrecks. Ya I hate the seats on it too. I didn't ask though if the paint is original. And this is a VERY reputable dealer. They are huge just go to there main page and see all the locations they have. I think they sell Lamborghinis too. they sell it all from honda to ferrari to mercedes to ford to pretty much almost everything.

Nice looking car, and a good price if the mileage is correct. Myself, I would be afraid to buy it, because I think it uses D-Jetronic fuel injection, and finding a guy who remembers how to work on those, is not easy, and most likely, not cheap.

That car actually resembles a 1973 as it has the small bumpers and the clock in the dash. It also has the pre-1974 curved turn signals below the front bumper. Beginning in 74 they replaced the clock with an air vent and moved the clock into the tach on the instrument cluster. Someone may have changed the trunk lid also. No badge and the lid brake light has also been installed. The rear tail lights also have no orange/amber in them, they are solid red. Not too crazy about the interior color look.

Someone has done some monkey wrenching on this one!

Looks like it has been painted.....or the interior has been very mistreated.
Missing the 450SL designation - appears to be a Euro model (but speedometer is in MPH?) or bumpers have been changed out.
The seats have been tonered in the middle and (I think) the wood on the AC controls is missing (can't remember when they went to wood from the plastic). Also, think the center consoles were the same color. Not 2 tone.
Nice wheels.
The seats would not have the wear and tear they are showing with only 61,000 miles....
Did Mercedes ever make a 2-tone interior???
I would go drive it, but be wary of all.

My 75 has the black plastic on the dash and the center console.

The 73 had 2 tone seats.
No wood in 74.
74 had clock in tach.

Beware

Also be aware that the 74 and 75 models (maybe 76 too) had the catalytic converters mounted in the engine bay and had heat issues under the hood which baked the wiring harnesses.

Look over this car carefully, could be many hidden issues. Lift the carpet up on the driver side floor pan and check for rust (this is a notorious area) also lift up the mats in the trunk and check under them also and in the tire well.
