Sometimes I feel SO stupid!!
Was at a friends house the other day and had the top down with the windscreen attached to the roll bar in the down position. He went over and grabbed the windscreen and pulled it up to a vertical position. He asked if this was how that worked. I must have shown shock in my face, because I told him that, actually I had never seen it do that before, and I proceeded to see what he might have broken to do that. I laid the screen back down to the roll bar and educated him how the windscreen really worked. I raised and lowered the roll bar to show him the true engineering marvels of the Mercedes. Once I got home I started thinking about the windscreen deal, and thought it might be a good idea to look at the owners manual. Real men never read the manuals. Wouldn't you know,,,,, it said right there about raising the windscreen manually, like he did, to use it properly.

It takes a real man to admit his mistake. It takes a real man to share it with the MB on-line community!!!

Love all the used rags and new ones all nicely folded! Also do u have velcro strip to keep the tissue box for rolling around in the back. That kind of stuff drives my wife CRAZY!

When my wife isn't around, I take all the dirty rags and wash them in her washer,,,, drives HER crazy. Then into the dryer, and of course fold neatly. I need order and symetry in my life. The Kleenex just go wherever they want.

Hey, Pete, the use of the roll bar does come in handy. I like driving with the top ,windows , and windscreen down out here in Southern California. However, on occasion, the temp will drop or the wind will come up. I can put the windows up, but I can not reach over the back seat an pull up the windscreen (I tried once and almost wrecked on the freeway). The way I do it is to run up the roll bar, grab the windscreen and pull it forward a few inches, then put the roll bar back down. The windscreen should remain upright and in position.

Used as designed, the rear section closes off the airflow though the rear seats / Area.
I do wish it worked with the roll bar up, I prefer the look of the car that way. But on the highway that windscreen is a DREAM.

Thanks for the heads up on the windscreen Mike. As far as trying it out, I haven't had a chance to use it yet to see what difference it makes when properly deployed.
