Becker 612 Grand Prix - Buy Rebuilt, Repair or replace w/new

This is the original radio in our 1983 380 SL and has never been repaired. I have no experience with Becker.
Any thoughts on the best way to go would be appreciated.
Stan

I am not a purist. That being said, take that piece of crap out and buy something from this century with some speakers.
Use your Becker as a paper weight or a door stop.

throw becker in garbage

I agree! spent $140 to repair Becker Mexico (1977) Complete waste of money. (repaired at Becker USA) Got new Sony installed for $99. Much better than becker! good luck, Abe G

I recently picked up a replacement Becker Grand Prix for very little cost. Installed in 10 minutes and works perfect. I belive the member I purchased from may have another. If you'd like to get his name feel free to PM me.

Unless you're a purist - replace the Becker with something a little newer and throw the Becker on the shelf in the garage for the next owner.
