Need to Find replacemetn MICROSWITCH for ACC on 72 450

I am into repair of all the vacuum and heater controls and found that the source of one of my issues is that the microswitch that sits under the heater arm ( 1st version ACC) are both messed up and are not sending the open close signal to the dashpots. Where in the world can I find these, no part number, and only referred to as microswitch in the repair manual.

Are you sure they are bad? Have you checked them out of circuit for short/open action.
Maybe the grease inside has gotten hard after 30+ years. I would try get a little WD40 inside and push the pin a few times to try to free it up if you do not get the short/open action.
These are definitly not your standard microswitch so they will be hard to find. Have you called Phil to see if he can locate them?
I had to fix a Jag AC controler microswitch problem before but I was able to find after market ones that had the same size and action (normally open). If you can figure out the action you could make a mounting plate to fit a new switch to make it work.

I got one to work the other will not work. I have found a similar switch at radio shack and I am attempting to make a braket that will work. Thanks for the response!

I purchased two small switches from Radio shack and made some aluminum brackets. Put them in place of the other ones, reconnected all the lines and I now have a fully functional heater valve that I can open and close from the cockpit, jsut as designed:sultan:

Only one needs to work, if you know which one it is, just move that temp lever to get heat.
