Power Steering 1997SL500

If car sits for a day or two I get a whirring or buzzing sound from under the hood when I turn the steering wheel while going around corners. It stops when I straighten the wheel and eventually dissapears altogether. Is this a power steering issue? Should I be concerned? Any suggestions/comments are appreciated.

1)I think that one of the vanes in the pump sticks, and after a while it gets free.
2)Or your belt is cracked.
3)What type of oil in the pump?
4)Have you changed your p/s filter?
5)How many miles on the car?
