380SL Servide manual

I have called Mercedes and tried to order the service manual for my 1985 380SL (my air conditioning leaks). The part number is P-2700-107-098.

They tell me this is no longer available. Any thoughts where I can find it?

The CD Service manuals that were produced by MB are now hard to find, and they may not have complete info since they are scanned pages from the paper manuals, and don't always every section. There is a Climate Control paper manual that may be helpful to you. Also hard to find. The general CD service manuals that are sold on Ebay will probably not be specific enough.

Well, I just spent $55 on the CD via E-Bay. I figure it's better than nothing.

If you got the Mercedes-published 107 Service Library, you got the good CD. The one I have, has an image of the speedometer on it. This CD has a good section on climate control and may help you. Good luck.

The R107 Service Manual that I had, and gave away when I sold my car, was a copy from a Forum friend. Since M-B is no longer making this available maybe some nice Forum member will step up and send you a copy of his/hers.
