I want to replace the steering wheel on my 74 SL. Can anyone reccomend a replacement. I am looking for a classic style wood wheel that is a little smaller diameter than the original wheel. the original wheel is about 17 inches in diameter, I would like go down to about 14 inches in diameter..........Thanks..........Dan

Hi Jim...........Thanks for your reply. I followed the thread, it was very helpful but I was unable to see the photo. Apparently the yahoo site where it was stored has closed. Could you point me to another site or include the photo in this thread........Thanks............Dan

This is a Momo I picked up at a swap meet for $25.00 with adaptor. Wood on the rim was checked (common problem) so we routed a groove and filled with black epoxy, wood still needs to be refinished. It's a 14", be prepared to not be able to see the top half of your speedo.

Hi jdhill..........Thanks for your input........that was a pretty good deal!!!! You can spend a lot of cash on a wood steering wheel. I won't mind not seeing the speedo, but will be happy to not have the wheel brushing the tops of my legs anymore......Dan
