Engine oil for '90 300sl
What type of engine oil is appropriate for a 1990 300SL? The car has about 120,000 miles on it but runs pretty strong. We had been using Mobil 1 oil but I just read that the engine was not optimized for that oil. Any thoughts? thanks

You can use any climate appropriate oil you want - synthetic or non - either is fine. The question is more of a personality test than anything. If spending more makes you feel better do so. It's not really going to do much for the car.

thanks those were my thoughts but I was concerned after reading a post about synthetics.
