1983 sl issue with adjusting c/o stem
I need to know what is the starting point on the c/o screw to start adjusting in a fine tune. I know counterclockwise is to lean out. Is there a starting point such as so many turns one total lean is reached? Thanks

Yikes!
I hope you aren't trying to adjust the mixture by feel or by going super-lean and then back a bit. That's a prescription for disaster.
There is only one way to adjust it correctly, with a 45-50% duty cycle reading from Pin 3 on the diagnostic socket. It's standard procedure on 1981-91 cars with K-Jet. Please do a Search, there are dozens of posts on how to do this.
