'96 sl500 skid plate

I've got the part # 129-520-03-42, but the usual sources,
including MBZ dealers have dried up all the way back to Germany.
Any ideas who might be able to track this down?

(Got a lot of rocks on these mountain roads, feel better with
some protection....)

There's a "skid plate" for an SL class? My Jeep has a thick metal skid plate to protect the drive train. Are you referring to the plastic piece below the engine compartment? It's called a noise gaurd by MB.
