Gas line to gas tank replacment

The attached thread is my ongoing journey in attempting to merely recouple the gas line which has come off the gas male of the gas tank.

Currently attempting to remove the drive shaft from the wheel end as it appears the bolts on the differential end have been previously stripped.....

Im almost wondering if removing gas tank would be easier.
