87 560sl alarm system
 

My security system has armed itself and will not turn off. It will alarm each time I open a door and flash the lights for the 150 second time listed in the manual. I've tried re-entering the car, starting it, turning it off and locking and unlocking the doors with the key. No procedure has worked. I need to know how to deactivate the alarm or disable it. Any help would be appreciated.

Tom I do not know how to repair the alarm, but you can disconnect it by removing the small door in back of the glove box. Removing the door will reveal two elec plugs which you can pull off. Also, fuse # 7 in the passenger side kick panel will disconnect the alarm.

Thahks for the info. Removed the small door and unpluged the system - no more alarm.
