Get ready for some work. I did the job on my 107 last summer. . the best place to start is to remove both seats (preferably, but it can be done with just the drivers seat removed, major PITA though), then remove the radio, the wood around the climate controls, and the two screws behind the ashtray, the ashtray assembly (unplug power connector) then remove the two screws that hold down the wood around your shifter (Lift up slightly to clear the shift gate and press back, its only held in its place by a pin that runs parallel to the ground. Next remove the kick panels under your dash, be careful though, those pieces have a tendency to crack and are a biitch to replace. Check that area in the foot wells for any kind of item fastening the console to the dash (I cant remember if there is or isn't, I think not, but check anyway, I wouldn't want you to damage anything. Lightly pull on the console towards the back of the car while lifting up slightly and it should pull free, if not go back and ensure you removed all the fasteners (I think I covered them all). If all are removed, voila, console out...PM me if you ned any further help, im always willing to assist a fellow 107 owner if I can.

If you need to remove the whole console, its a PIA, just follow Lexxani. Also I would recommend removing the console with the side carpets installed. That will help to keep the tabs that hold them to the console from getting damaged. If you have an electric mirror button like the 560SL, it will interfear with the center console wood removal. The button has to be removed first. This is undocumented anywhere but here.

There is also one screw at the rear most part of the console under the tunnel carpet.
Be gentle with everything...and save yourself some grief...take the seats out.

when you take out the seats, pay attention to where the seat is with respect to forward and back and make sure both rails are in the same position when you put them back in - otherwise the seats will be crooked.

The other PIA thing is the height adjustment level on the seats......don't mess with the spring on the floorboard of the car......

Now is also a great time to send the seats out for any leather work or repair. I would get them re-toned, if you need that.

Also, the side panels on the console - the tabs SUCK! They seem to have become part of the center console with some kind of unknown glue. Just plan on the tabs breaking - not an issue, but will need some work to replace.
