280SL Euro brakes

I have a 1985 280Sl Euro( 107 style, same as US 380SL) with 51k on the original German brake pads. The pads are still pretty good but they are squeking quite a bit so I plan on replacing them. Any recomendations about ceramic or metalic pads and if so where to buy them? The rotors are in excellent shape so that won't be a problem. Thanks.

I would go for the ceramics.
As from where to buy them.

I am located in Tucson Arizona but I guess I can order from the internet anywhere in the States. Do you have a brand name you can recommend? Thanks...

I like the ceramics too, just be sure to replace all four wheels as they have different gripping characteristics than conventional pads.

Are the pads glazed? Squeaking in the rear or front?

I had the pads checked and they didn't mention that they were glazed but I would imagine with 51k on them they probably are. I think they squeak mostly on the front but that's pretty hard to tell. I could use a recommendation as to the brand of ceramic pads to buy and where to buy them. Thanks....

I'm using carbon and Kevlar pads from Porterfield. Mine are R4-S's, no dust, squeal, or grabbing and rotor friendly.

Thanks for the good information and recomendations....Desert
