Push-button LED Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC )

1991 500Sl R129.066 Eng. 119.960

The Push-button with LED located on the right side under the hood near the fire wall will read out DTC codes. I have a home made code reader for the 16-pole diagnostic connector and understand the diagnostic’s (DTC) codes for each of the 16 sockets.

Any further understanding of what the Push-button with LED does or how to use it would be help full.
